Abstract Note

This account analyses the history and composition of a famous 'mapamundi' produced in Majorca, and presented by Don Juan of Aragon to Charles VI of France in 1381. The original is in the Bibliothéque Nationale, Paris, from whom permission has been granted to reproduce the illustrations. They have been taken from a facsimile edition hand-painted by a Catalan artist.
